In the rally saw a nice SDR implementation using the PIC18F4550 and the Si570 LDVS not
CMOS version from RF System di Quinto Annamaria. http://www.rfsystems.it/
The PCB could probably be improved by having the si570 and the digital circuits
isolated from the RF and then the RF on one side and AF on the other....maybe.
The project has been about for a bit apparently. Anyway send an email to the
developer Martin Pernter info@rfsystems.it and ask about an unmade kit.
self suggestion is to contact Microchip and request assistance to write a
USB driver and to get a VID/PID pair then write a driver with an API that might work
with Simon's software including TX.
The rest of the show was nothing special. Seems a lot of the small traders of kits etc
were excluded from the flea market and forced into the main hall, with added costs so
wasnot that good. Did see lots in the flea market but as cycling didn't look too hard
hehe. I ran into several CDXC members who said hello and Bob G3PJT who was a surprise
and sat and had lunch.
WX getting hot...so cycling early mornings going to be important and need some serious
distances. Must loose some weight!!
Christine stayed in Laax and... read her book for a while, managed to work out the washing machine
and did a wash. Had some lunch and then picked up Leica (hard choice not taking all of them) up to
Felera on the walk we did the other day. Once there had coke and ice cream at the restaurant from the
day before and leica showed Christine the way. (BTW Leica is a dog!)
Once back sat with the dogs and shared a treat with the others as leica had already had two.
Dom and Simon arrived back about 7:30pm, we went and had coffee at Walters.
Would then say ETB but wasn't really.
