The day started early as usual to avoid some of the heat build up.
We stopped and had breakfast by the Rhine.
We peddled to the other side of Bonn and in some shealter had some 'Lammas bread' as we started to call the crackers I had bought in Strasbourg! Lots and lots of children out and about... school trips. It started to get overcast and so we stopped just before Koln (Cologne) for lunch at a nice restaurant where we people watched.
It started to rain shortly afterwards but the ground dried really quickly.
We saw a campsite but I said to carry on and we took a ferry across the river. Long way to next campsite.
Once at the campsite it was a mile to the showers and 1/2 mile to the loos... so I just had two beers and said I am not going another foot!
No shade anywhere.
Sunset from the campsite was nice. You can see how close to the waters edge we are now.
