Blue skies at last. It's getting hot too.

OK admission first... I thought or rather forgot to check that the friend we were staying with where his place was, I remembered it as Chur as that is where the train startion is but the actual place was LAxx... Ok on a large scale map they are right next door... Cycling in Switzerland not such a minor error... Ooops. Look at the map above... Chur is on the bottom right, Laax is about middle top and the WRONG SIDE of the Rhine and up too.

So we took the train BACK to Ilanz frm Chur and then cycled up the road... sounds simple! It wasn't this was 6 miles of non-stop ascent... with ALL the kit on the bikes and it was getting a tad warm. So the cycling was 100 yards, stop, recover, carry on.... and the road was the main highway and the cars and trucks were not going slowly and there was bearly room for two cars let along two trucks to pass and with us as well... Not the most fun part ever. We had to have an ice cream by the lake in LAax when we got to the top.... anyway here is the phot as we entered the town...

Finally made it to Laax. 400m ascent frim Ilanz!
